Very sad. Like CM, I remember him being one of the first players I was really excited to watch move from college to the NFL (I was 11 in 1994 and that still was the biggest sports year of my life).

Well, that makes me feel old. I'd already graduated from college when Salaam won his Heisman. Doesn't sound like he'd been one of those guys really struggling in life post-football, but we also don't have the full story yet.

Had a great feel for running. Just not the fastest guy out there and put the ball on the turf a lot.
Was a lot of fun to watch in college and I liked him as a bear. RIP |

I was in high school in Colorado when he was playing for CU...I really enjoyed watching him play. RIP.
