slightly more of the former. but hey it's all speculation - too lazy to conduct scientific study.

By golly Jon, you've stumbled upon the perfect way to lock up undesirables! As the article shows, it's not all that difficult to find the author of an anonymous online post and such threats do result in criminal charges.

All any police department has to do from there is search Twitter for any violent threats targeting minorities, because pretty much all of them are fake and made up by an entitled victim culture. Sure, you might arrest a "lone wolf" or two in the process, but IMO that's a small price to pay to thin the ranks of all those whiny victims making up violent threats all day long.
