Why is every Oklahoma State player such a head case? Dallas Cowboys RB Joseph Randle arrested for shoplifting - ESPN Dallas

I really don't get the mentality at play here. Why would someone who makes hundreds of thousands of dollars a year steal $120 worth of merchandize? Is it the thrill of "getting away with it"?

It happens in other fields as well. I've had several co-workers fired for energy theft from our company. They're saving themselves a hundred, maybe a little more per month with the theft, and they lose an incredibly well-paying job with incredible benefits. People are stupid.

I'll trade Joe Philbin for Rex Ryan, right this minute!

So in the realm of player safety, Burfict gets $25K for trying to end the seasons of two Carolina starters (ankle twisting after a play was over, in one case actually grabbing the ankle after the tackle to do the twist, both caught on video).
The players are so hypocritical on the player safety issue, and the NFL should have suspended him if they really wanted to stop this stuff.

This. Should definitely be a separate suspension for each offense. |

I agree. This was blatant and dangerous. Should have been minimum a $50,000 fine ($25k for each offense) and probably should have been a game suspension. Last edited by Blackadar : 10-15-2014 at 12:10 PM. |

Glad to see others agreeing with that, it seriously pissed me off, but I always wonder if I'm overreacting b/c its my team. It is really fucking absurd that Burfict will be playing next week.

I guess I'll be the first Bengal fan to weigh in. The ankle twisting was a dick move. I don't think he could've complained about being suspended.
But calling the hit on Benjamin "head-hunting" is probably over the top. I watched that a couple of times and don't see it. Blackadar is about the last person that should be commenting though, considering his "woe is us" talk about the many Steeler fines and suspensions over the years.
