Question for those willing to answer
What Defense is everyone running?
Ive been generic 4-3 for ever..but starting to experiment and wondering if I am late to the party... |

I run a 4-3 Man most of the time with some blitzes thrown in. When I go against option teams I have found that a zone blitz works well or a cover 2 spy with my teams.

I use a 3-4 hybrid look. NCAA 2014 is the first time I've gone away from the 4-3. I did that because USC switched to a 3-4 hybrid in real life, so I was messing around with it in my solo dynasty and enjoyed it.

Ive always used a 4-3 Tonight I played around with both 4-2-5 and 3-3-5 looks....I think I've found a new D. |

I use the 4-3 playbook but I'd say 65% of my playcalls are out of the nickel formation, 25% Dime, the remainder 4-3/goal line/whatever in weird situations. This is mostly due to the prevalence of spread type offenses. Lots and lots of tight man coverage hoping to get a combination of D-Line pressure + bumping the WR's at the line to force bad plays from the other team's offense. |

My base is 4-3, but I adjust my defense to what the offense is doing. I try to match up DBs on WRs (so nickel or dime as needed), I'll spy if there is a scrambling QB, and I adjust blitz amounts and man vs zone based on the game flow.
I do play a lot more 1-deep zone than 2-deep zone these days.

Me too. Both offense and defense. I like to have as much versatility in my playbooks as possible, so I have everything from 5 wide to jumbo to wishbone in my offensive playbook. Defensively I just chose some exotic formations to pair with some base defenses to give me the ability to play just about any front/coverage while varying my looks enough to keep the opponent on their heels.

I use a custom playbook too. Mostly 4-3 base. Then some 335, Dime and Quarter. I've been trying to work in some of the nickel stuff.
I used to use 4-2-5 last year, but stopped using it in the current game version. The CPU seemed to torch it pretty bad. |
