RIP Jerry.
I don't know that I actually ever knowingly listened to him call a game. But I just loved hearing about all those gaffes.

While famous for his gaffs, I would say leaving baseball twice to fly 120 fighter missions in ww2 and Korea is his deserved legacy.
I remember the 84 padres season well. On the playground we constantly said, "oh doctor!" |
