This makes me think of the Patriots dealing Randy Moss.
Are the Browns trying to offload him before he self destructs? This is pretty surprising. Are they just jealous that Jacksonville is now the worst team in the NFL, and they want to contend for the designation? Last edited by Glengoyne : 09-18-2013 at 05:55 PM. |

Looks like the Browns are going to bring in McGahee to replace him.

Love this move for the Browns. You just don't take a RB at #2 in today's NFL and the new regime is selling high on him. On a side note, I remember hearing Lombardi on the BS Report about 3 years ago saying that if he was a GM the first thing he would do is trade for Brian Hoyer (who was a Pat back then) and have him start from day one. Whaddya know, Hoyer is starting this Sunday for the Browns.

Hoyer is merely starting right now, but I can't see him being anything long term as a solution no matter how well he's liked by management.

I'm surprised they got so much for him. An often nicked up back, averaging well below the mendoza line for running backs. It's not like Cleveland's line is that bad, especially in the run game. It seems like his Alabama production was more because of all the fantastic lineman then his ability (like Ingram, and maybe Lacy as well?)
