Washer/Dryer Recommendations?

My 15 year old stackable finally gave it up. Any recommendations for buying a new set? Im thinking about getting this set, but I would like cheaper without losing much quality. Fancy features don't mean a lot to me, long as it gets the job done, i'm good.

Thanks!

We got that one last Winter and have been pleased, although it is a little slower than our previous machine.

Depending on your location, places like Lowe's and Sears will price match, so find the cheapest online price you can find and take it in a printout.

Our 5 year old washer is on the way out.
(Piece of overpriced crap grrrr...)
anyway the repairman was out a few weeks ago and I asked for his experiences and he said surprisingly (at least to me) that LG major appliances are extremely impressive and reliable. Tiny sample size...but he got me doing some online research and the reviews seem to be about the same...

Dola... apparently Maytag bought out Amana which had a large mobile home appliance supply division, and according to this repair guy they are making all their W&Ds in the old Amana factory...

again not sure of the validity, but this pos we bought is 5 years old and weve spent 400+ on repair calls.

Make sure you buy the extended warranty. Like CU said these new washers and dryers have control boards that go bad within a few years and cost more than the machine to repair. It seems pretty common in new machines.
If you're going to go cheap try to find the old ones with an agitator and without an electronic control board.
