DDSPB3 - Washington Wizards
I love hockey, football and baseball and watch college basketball only when Missouri is playing or when March Madness starts. I loved basketball back in the days when Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Julius Erving, Michael Jordan, etc.. played.
I still don't know much about it, but I love the DDSPB series of games and since v3 is in beta, I figured I'd post some of my career as the GM of the Washington Wizards. I was drafted by the Wizards in NBA 2k12, so it's only fitting I take over as their GM in DDSPB3. Especially since St. Louis has no NBA team. Roster
#2 PG John Wall (21) - $5,530,080 (OVR 3.5/4.5) #15 SG Jordan Crawford (23) - $1,120,440 (OVR 3.0/3.5) #9 PF Rashard Lewis (31) - $22,152,000 (OVR 2.5/2.5) #7 PF Andray Blatche (24) - $3,520,661 (OVR 2.5/2.5) #35 PF Trevor Booker (24) - $1,294,920 (OVR 3.0/3.5) #13 PF Kevin Seraphin (22) - $1,680,360 (OVR 3.0/4.0) #34 C JaVale McGee (23) - $2,400,000 (OVR 3.5/4.0) Except for Rashard Lewis, we are a very young team. Rashard needs to go, so I'll jot him down for a draft day trade or just an outright trade, him and his contract need to go. I'm just the GM and have the financial setting on limited as I'm just not that experienced with the inner workings of the NBA. High school players can also enter the draft. We need depth, but my first priority is to get 5 starters and work from there. |

Pre-Draft Workouts
Our draft board is the same as who we invite to our pre-draft workouts, I went with our staffs favorites instead of listening to the experts. This is before the workout, so our draft board could change. |

Post Workouts
Our target for the draft tomorrow is SF Chandler Parsons from Florida, I don't see any team taking him, so it would be a shock if he's not there at #6. |

I send everyone I can to the summer league and we go undefeated.. not that it matters, but I did see a couple of players I'll look to sign in FA.
The owner gives me a call and asks what our plans for 2011 are, I tell him we are rebuilding and don't expect much, especially the playoffs.. that is not in our future this season. He's not happy with me, but once I tell him we will be under the CAP, he says ok, good luck. |

First game of the season
1st round pick (#6) Chandler Parsons had 4 pts in his first NBA game. From here on out, it will just be scores of our games and leading scorer. Time to pick up the pace! |

Game 6
Miami Heat (4-0) at Washington Wizards (4-1) Heat - 96 Wizards - 80 POG: Lebron James - 25 pts After the game, Trevor Booker makes some comments about his playing time, I say nothing to the media. He's fine with that. Baron Davis also makes some not so subtle comments about his playing time. I do the same and say, "no comment". Baron says more to the media saying I took the easy way out. I'm thinking, talk to the coach.. although I don't say that out loud. Game 7 Oklahoma City Thunder (4-2) at Washington Wizards (4-2) Thunder - 103 Wizards - 115 POG: John Wall - 24 pts Game 8 Washington Wizards (5-2) at Denver Nuggets (5-2) Wizards - 85 Nuggets - 96 POG: Danilo Gallinari - 28 pts Game 9 Washington Wizards (5-3) at Houston Rockets (2-6) Wizards - 106 Rockets - 94 POG: John Wall - 21 pts Game 10 Washington Wizards (6-3) at Atlanta Hawks (5-3) Wizards - 68 Hawks - 107 POG: Josh Smith - 23 pts Andray Blatche make comments after the game concerning his playing time, once again I say, "no comment". |

6-4 is good considering what little you have to work with (i.e. no one but Wall, really). Still early in the year, though.

Yeah, it's going to be interesting to see what our record looks like about halfway through. We are VERY young, but I'd like to at least win a game or two more than last season. |

We sign two roster fillers so Selby and Lee can concentrate only on playing in the D League.
Game 16 Washington Wizards (10-5) at Miami Heat (10-2) Wizards - 104 Heat - 93 POG: John Wall - 23 pts Huge win for us in Miami! Game 17 Indiana Pacers (12-3) at Washington Wizards (11-5) Pacers - 112 Wizards - 90 POG: Marcus Thornton - 27 pts Game 18 Washington Wizards (11-6) at New Jersey Nets (16-2) Wizards - 89 Nets - 99 POG: Brook Lopez - 21 pts Game 19 Utah Jazz (6-10) at Washington Wizards (11-7) Jazz - 82 Wizards - 84 POG: JaVale McGee - 12 pts Game 20 Denver Nuggets (14-5) at Washington Wizards (12-7) Nuggets - 109 Wizards - 115 POG: John Wall - 24 pts 11 more wins and we will have beaten our record last season.
