She looks better there than any photo of ScarJo I have seen.

cuthbert doesn't belong anywhere near the finals. this should be a 90-10 vote against her.

If we had filled out brackets predicting the winners, this would have been the final I predicted. ScarJo and Elisha have always had a strong following here, and while I understand it, it still seems skewed to me. Both are clearly attractive, but I'm not sure they are the two most attractive people in show business. But FOFC loves these two for some reason.

ScarJo does well on the internet in general. Elisha hasn't really been a thing for some time and she rode previous glory to the finals. If she was voted on based on current looks, she's not cracking anything near 90%. She's still attractive, but not +90% on this forum.

Maybe I am biased in this because I have never seen a show or movie Cuthbert was in but I really liked Johansson in Lost in Translation. And both have some great still pictures and some where although they still definitely look better than most everyday women, aren't smoking hot.
If my vote had been the only one that mattered, Beckinsale would have won. |

This turned into a blowout in a hurry. When I voted last night it was 59-58 ScarJo. She's on a 22-8 run to close it out.

I liked Lost in Translation, but I can't really recall anything about her performance that stood out or any performance since then.

Sadly not on Netflix Instant but only through DVD. I added it to my queue. Considering its size, sometime in the next decade I'll get to see it.

Sometimes when I watch movies I imagine what it'd be like if I were in that situation. I think I would have enjoyed exploring Tokyo with her character. And like I said regarding Cuthbert, she is just a series of sometimes great looking and sometimes pretty good looking still images to me, I have not seen any of her movies or that 24 show. I also liked Johansson in Vicky Cristina Barcelona although Penelope Cruz kind of outdid her in the hotness stakes in that one. It's a shame Cruz wasn't in the bracket (iirc). |

Match Point put Scarlett Johansson in my Top 5, Lost In Translation is what made her a permanent resident. And she has maintained her hotness.
The last time I saw Cuthbert in 24 in one of the later seasons, she was looking pretty worn down. I haven't watched Happy Endings, but judging from some of the images, she's lost some of her earlier hotness. She doesn't look close to what she did in Old School or The Girl Next Door anymore. |

Would have voted Beckinsale or Keibler over Elisha from the lower side of the bracket but not Scarlett.

Perhaps but then again you've been wrong far more than right in this tourney, so where does that leave you |

A lot of this came down to pairings as well. If the seedings were ignored and simply drawn randomly then we'd most likely have a completely different final 4 and final.

If you look at ScarJo's results, she completely steamrolled her competition. I think she would've won this no matter who she faced.

That's why it would be interesting to run this the way DanGarion had suggested, starting with the bottom and running 1 on 1 matchups, winner continues, all the way to the top. Maybe now we need to run Scarlett against everybody in the polls in turn ;-)
I think it's obvious that whoever wins a poll like this isn't going to be the absolute hottest chick ever. It's going to be someone with a broad enough appeal to win the majority. I think for most of us the ones we find super scorching hot are often women who turn off someone else. Very distinctive features attract both lust and hate. |
