Celebrity HoN: Would You Rather? Elite Eight
The Elite Eight is set as we move on to the finals of each bracket. There are still three number one seeds standing but the two most dominant competitors thus far have been the two lowest seeds remaining. Who will advance to the final four?
SOUTH FINAL - (1) Elisha Cuthbert vs. (2) Salma Hayek Cuthbert was the tournament's top seed and has had little trouble in victories over Katy Perry, Minka Kelly and Jessica Biel, with her closest matchup being last round's win over Biel, which still carried a 70 vote margin. Hayek on the other hand has been the cardiac cougar, narrowly edging out Jennifer Love Hewitt by 15 votes before knocking off Kristen Bell by 5 votes and Olivia Wilde by 3 votes. Both were HoN pollsters back in 2006 with Cuthbert scoring a 92% while Hayek pulled in an 87% approval rating. Experts predict that this could be the end of Hayek's run. WEST FINAL - (1) Jessica Alba vs. (2) Mila Kunis The top two seeds in the West faced their toughest matchups so far in the Sweet Sixteen and both advanced with identical 98-82 scores over former SI Swimsuit cover models. Each have definitly earned the spots in the Elite Eight, with Alba knocking off Hilary Duff followed by Rachel McAdams and the upstart Kate Upton while Kunis disposed of Kaley Cuoco and followed that up with victories over Anne Hathaway and Marissa Miller. Alba scored an 89.78% HoN rating back in 2006 while received an 88.78% HoN rating in 2011. This matchup could be as close as it gets. MIDWEST FINAL - (1) Kate Beckinsale vs. (6) Stacy Keibler The British Beckinsale secured her place in the Elite Eight with a hard fought win over the South African Charlize Theron while Keibler continued to roll with a lopsided win over Bar Refaeli. Keibler's body of work, which includes wins over Eva Mendes, Natalie Portman and Refaeli, is arguably as good as anyone's, and coupled with her recent 93% HoN rating has many now calling her the odds on favorite to win the tournament. Beckinsale's wins, including Theron, Angelina Jolie and Zoe Saldana, have not been nearly as impressive. However, she still has the 4th highest HoN rating of all time at 90% and should give Keibler a run for her money. EAST FINAL - (2) Hayden Panettiere vs. (4) Scarlett Johansson We saw our first number one seed of the tournament fall in the Sweet Sixteen as Anna Kournikova went down hard at the hands of Scarlett Johansson in one of the tournament's most lopsided victories thus far. In fact, Johansson has been the tournament's most dominant competitor with wins over Rosario Dawson, Yvonne Strahovski and Kournikova, with her closest margin of victory being 85 votes. Her impressive stats probably make her the tournament favorite, outside of Stacy Keibler. Panettiere battled a feisty Sofia Vergara before edging her out late and also has wins over Isla Fisher and Brooklyn Decker. If you go just by the HoN ratings, Panettiere scored an 88% in 2012 while Johansson pulled in an 85% in 2006. However, Johansson has been much more dominant in the tournament thus far and has to be considered a favorite here. Just like in real life, the tourney isn't fun anymore once it's down to 8.

I am trying to figure out how Kunis made it this far. Far sexier women were eliminated in the first 2 rounds IMO.

I am trying to figure out how Scarlett Johanson was a 4 seed... I think the head to head is showing just how hot she truly is.

Yeah who knows. I think some of these pics kind of change an opinion of these women. I think Anna K is hot as hell when she gives interviews after a tennis match but on these pics in this voting i think she looked whorish with the eyeliner and her expressions. I probably just dont know enough about this Kunis. |

It could just be who you like, though, too. For instance, there was next to no chance I was going to vote for Anna K. I just don't find her all that attractive. That doesn't mean I don't acknowledge she is beautiful, as this seems to be clear from the opinions of many. As for Scarlett, that girl I would utterly destroy, given half the chance.

Somebody should do a statistical analysis on the voting in this. I bet there are several distinct camps of voters, given how often we get people commenting on how they can't possibly imagine how someone, who is getting astonishing numbers of votes, gets any votes.

Man, that HP/Scarjo matchup is brutal. Everything else is an easy vote (Cuthbert, Alba, Keibler). Going to have to think about this.

Hell, we could run another Elite 8 with the Sweet Sixteen losers to hash out 9th-16th places.

Went with all the ones and Hayden. Hayden won't win, but something about her intrigues me. Love Beckinsale and that's going to be the closest one. The accent edges out in a battle between two incredible bodies.

If college sports was as fun as looking at these ladies, I might actually like college sports.

Hayek, just because, but I'm fine if people vote the other way.
Second straight round I was ok with a voter calling somebody attractive except for Kunis, so Alba wins by default. Keibler because somebody has to get picked. Hayden because ScarJo comes across as somebody who is attractive and yet boring.

Finally went with the One Night Stand Tiebreaker.
Hayden strikes me as the type of girl you'd want to end up with. ScarJo strikes me as the type of girl you'd sleep with once and it'd be a cherished memory for the rest of your days. So based on that, ScarJo just barely edges out based on the one night sizzle fest.

I only voted for the two that I could stomach one of them winning (and I say that with a full appreciation that they are all hot and out of my league) - Cuthbert and Beckinsale. Abstained from the others.

Something tells me that Scarlett likes her hair pulled. Hands down a winner in that department.

It should probably comfort both of us that I had the exact opposite four.

I'd say it's whoever comes out of the Midwest vs East matchup, whether that's Scarjo, Keibler, or Beckinsale.

Agreed. Cuthbert's route has been the easiest of anyone by far, which is fitting of the #1 overall seed come to think of it. Alba's had a couple of strong challengers along the way, but I'm a bit surprised she's made this far and see her getting crushed by Cuthbert in the Final Four. Bar Beckinsale, I'd take any one of the four of the bracket's other half over Cuthbert and Alba.
