Sosa Pitches Way to Rookie of the Year Honor
Sunday, November 8th, 2082: José Sosa, a blue-chipper for the St Louis Hops, is the recipient of the 2082 Continental League Kien-lung Teng Award. In his first year, he accumulated 17 wins and 5 losses in 32 starts. Throwing a total of 167.2 innings, Sosa struck out 110, walked 58 and held opponents to a .254 average, while posting a 3.44 ERA. Premier Rookie Picked By RL--Flores Selected Sunday, November 8th, 2082: Raúl Flores of the Maricopa Rattlers made quite a splash on the Republic League scene in 2082 by nabbing the Kien-lung Teng Award. The standout Rattlers left fielder took the honor by hitting .312 in 158 games this season and finishing with 194 hits, 13 home runs, 79 RBIs and 91 runs scored.

Freedom Reliever Wins Mauro Morales Award
Tuesday, November 10th, 2082: Edgardo Martínez of the Washington Freedom is in the spotlight today. The relief ace was voted the top pitcher in the Continental League and will be presented the 2082 Mauro Morales Award. He compiled a 5-3 record and an ERA of 0.68 in 79.1 innings with 97 strikeouts. Martínez nailed down 38 saves in 38 save opportunities. RL Announces Mauro Morales Award Tuesday, November 10th, 2082: With speculation about his retirement gaining steam last offseason, Legends ace Tom Bates had something to prove. He proved it in award-winning style as he accepted the Republic League Mauro Morales Award today. The veteran New York hurler posted a record of 15 wins and 8 losses this year with a 3.03 ERA. In 41 starts he struck out 195 and walked 39 in 232 innings.

McCormick Selected CL's #1 Batter
Wednesday, November 11th, 2082: Bobby McCormick has been around FOOL-X enough to know a good hot streak when he sees one -- and he got to see one firsthand all year. For his standout run through the 2082 season, he's taking home the Bartolo Liriano Award in the Continental League. The London center fielder put up a batting average of .327 with 44 doubles, 15 triples, 27 Republic League Names De La Cruz Best Batter Wednesday, November 11th, 2082: It's been a year of triumph for veteran Juan De La Cruz of the Cleveland Naps as he hit his way to the 2082 Republic League Bartolo Liriano Award. The 29-year-old veteran compiled a .328 average and .401 on-base percentage by putting together 193 hits, 31 doubles, 2 triples, 38 home runs and 65 walks. He also scored 97 times and drove in 112 runs.
