OT - Chessboard puzzle
The Monty Hall talk has me back in puzzle mode. Here's one that's interesting.
Standard disclaimers: - This puzzle is not of my own creation. - If it's been posted before, or you've seen it elsewhere... well, tough nuts. Let someone who hasn't seen it take a shot. - If it's too easy for you and you feel somehow offended by this fact, too bad. - You could probably look up the answer online. If you do, and you post the answer as if you came up with it yourself, you're an idiot and will die alone. The puzzle: Place six blue, five red and four green queens on a standard chessboard in such a way that no two queens of different colors can attack each other. There are apparently four different solutions. |

It's possible that the four "different" solutions involve simple 90 degree rotations of the system above. Nice job, Fido. (And thanks... I have a busy day ahead) |
