I guess I managed to hit the super secret magical combination of keys to set of some super cool setting for my computer.

My left shift key doesn't work, when I hit tab it acts like I just clicked outside the window. For awhile, the keyboard wasn't evening letting the keys work. If I hit F it would open up File in firefox. Hitting a different key would open the history. This is what I've discovered so far.

I've tried restarting, doing a system restore, mashing my face against the keyboard to no avail. Any ideas? I'm on Vista.

yes. also, it seems like there's a key that's stuck in limbo. for the last hour or so, it wouldn't let me type out any letters using my keyboard. for example, if i hit f it would pull down the file menu in firefox. if i hit t, it would bring down the tools menu. i don't know what i did to let it actually let me type out letters again.

Sounds like your "Control" key is stuck or busted up.

i want to blame sticky keys or mouse keys or something like that. all of a sudden one of those popped up, and that's when this all started. i've tried turning them all off, turning them on, turning them back off to no avail.
