Looks like he was arrested for prescription painkillers less than a month ago.

Sad news.

I won't say that particular era of music was the best of all-time or anything, but for someone my age (early 30s) it was really impactful.

I am on record noting my disdain for much of the Seattle scene, which, IMO, may have ruined music for a good 5-6 years or more.

That said, Alice in Chains was one of the few bands playing grunge style that I always enjoyed. Sorry to see Mike has joined Layne on the stage in the sky.
