Angry Screw That

So I go online and I'm refreshing multiple computers at a time to get Giants postseason tickets when they go on sale at 10 AM PST. I finally get through the waiting room on one of the computers, but now it won't let me buy the tickets due to high volume of transactions. Five minutes later game 1 sells out.

I try game 2...nope, sold out.

I try game 3...one standing room only ticket. It won't let me have more than one standing room only ticket at a time. Now that's sold out too. This sucks ass!

Why bother? The Giants are just going to choke sooner or later anyway.

Vince, that is the annoying thing about the internet. You ahve no idea if you are going to get anything no matter how dedicated you are. Personally I'd like to go back to the days when everything was sold at the ballpark and you got in line 24 hours before it went on sale. That way the diehard fans got the tickets and the rich SOB wouldn't be left to pay the inflated scalped price, not me!

I absolutely hate trying to buy sports tickets anymore. If the event is big at all, the corporations and scalpers suck up all the tkts. Fans that follow the games all season are left out. Makes me wish I didn't like sports so much. I am a Cubs fan 3 hours from Chicago. I didn't even consider buying playoff tickets (insert Cub joke here). Seriously, it just isn't worth the hassle.

I'm a diehard red sox fan and was going to purchase season tickets (jsut graduated college so I can fianlly afford it). But it was too tough finding another financially stable friend who would spliut the cost of two tickets with me so I didn't. Now I'm kicking myself because I have 0 rights to playoff tickets and have to battle on the phone and internet with all the new england dumbasses who go to one game a year and think the it would be "cool to check it out" and cloge up the lines for me.

Yes. We do not all weigh 500 pounds and are forced to live by the computer and TV because it is the only thing left in the one room in the house that can still fit your fat ass.

This is actually the reason I like it going to internet selling only.. Alot of the people in those lines were just homeless people paid by the scalpers to get tickets.. Hopefully this way everyone is more on the same footing.. Now I dont have to have no life for three days just to get tickets to one game. I can actually do my normal day activities and then have no life for 15 minutes as I try to get tickets

I got decent tickets to the Braves Divisional Series yesterday, what, a week after they went on sale? God bless apathetic Atlanta fans.

I dont mind Radii.. it means whenever I come in town for work or to visit my family I can always be assured at getting tickets to the games Damn Falcons are making it tougher though to get tickets these days...

I got great tickets to the Eastern Conference Finals for the Pistons last season. It all depends on what you are trying to get tix for. Naturally the most popular games/teams will be the most difficult to get tix for, just as it was before the Internet.

What frustrates me the most is I got through their gay little waiting room bullshit, then I click to buy my two bleacher seats, and they're too busy to handle my request? What the hell is the point of the waiting room if I can't get the tickets once I'm out of it anyways? Grr...

Are they touring the East coast now? Last time they were in the states it was West coast only.
