Ping: Word Experts

So I've gotta come up with some technical documentation and am creating a template that fits our company's formatting.

On the front page, I have, for instance, the title, most recent revision date, author, etc. Those are replicated at various places throughout the document such as the date is in the footer, the title is replicated all over the place, etc.

Is there a way to change the document once on the front page so that the changes replicate throughout the document. Basically, this is the same way that you can create a cell in Excel, say, in A1 with the value "0" and then have another cell "=A1". If you changed the "0" in A1, that other cell would then also change.

I have no idea what Word Power is, but could you merge the document with Excel?

Ok, I can see the confusion- thread title changed. I meant people who were "power users" of Word- not that there's something called "Word Power", tho there probably is.

Try linking the document with Excel -- I'm iffy on the details, but I think you go to Edit, then Links. Then when you change the excel document, everywhere you link to that field should change accordingly.
