It depends on the situation. I don't like arguing with Antmeister or kiddos, but if someone really pushes my buttons, they're in for it.

I went with #3 but the more accurate response from me would have been more along the lines of "it depends".

I hate confrontation, so I would much rather just concede your (probably wrong) point and move on to beer drinkin' or sexy-time or whatever.

If anybody posts in political threads but answers no to this poll, they're lying.

I pretty much agree with Subby's response. I don't care for confrontation at all.

Depends. If I'm arguing about independent contractors working on the Death Star or if you would do Mary Ann or Ginger.. sure. Politics, religion not so much. My opinions/thoughts on those matters are my own and someone isn't going to change them so, I'd rather not add more people to my list of those people I hate.

How you do feel about independent contractors working on the Death Star? Innocent victims? Or complicit casualties of war?

You working on the Death Star implies that you approve of the Empire's actions. Therefore, you deserve to be blown to smithereens.

Depends on the person. I don't like arguing with people who completely reject the possibility of being wrong.

I have nothing against a passionate discussion.

But argument suggests intractability, and that just gives me a god damned headache.

I like a passionate debate - I don't like slanging matches (ie. just hurling a 'stance' back and forth without any interchange of ideas or reasoning).

PS - I suppose thats a YES then seeing as I'm arguing about what the question actually means

I love arguing about anything non-religion/politics oriented, loudly and non-seriously.

Serious arguing? Not so much, but when it happens I'll do it.

This might be a shocker, but I love getting things started. Then I say something so stupid the other person just looks at me weird. I rarely do it and I hate it, even though I never lose.

Man:
An argument is a connected series of statements intended to establish a proposition.

Other Man:

No it isn't!

Man:
Yes it is! It isn't just contradiction.

Other Man:
Look, if I "argue" with you, I must take up a contrary position!

Man:
Yes but it isn't just saying 'no it isn't'.

Other Man:
Yes it is!

I love that sketch.
I enjoy debating, but often find myself stumped on factual arguments, as I usually takes the emotional stance, and run out of things to say.

No. It's not worth it. No one listens to anyone other than their own ego, so it's pointless.

It's always interesting to see people vote for every option in a poll when they are given the opportunity. I don't know what it says about those people, but it says something. Maybe they are just so excited to have the freedom to vote for multiple options that they end up choosing everything!

On this one I'm thinking they were trying to be clever based on the subject of the poll.

But it happens pretty much every time there is the option. mckerney is one of the guys who always chooses everything when given the option. I'd guess it's more of an attempt to muck up the results.

What kind of a question is that? Why would you ask that? It makes no sense. Are you trying to pick a fight or something? IF you post this, you are just causing trouble. Then again it is important to find out all you can about people you intend to talk to on a daily basis. Maybe you should email instead or PM. That way it's in private and won't cause contraversy. But Why NOT on the forum? What's the harm? PEople need to get over themselves. It's all about having fun. Harmless chit-chat. SO why haven't you all posted then. IF you haven't posted or voted then you take this too seriously. DOn't try to cause any trouble now!
