You can't coach speed
There's a new video of my boy Thomas Brown on a TD run against Griffin last week, which to me really showcases his speed and feel for running the ball. You'll see no fewer than SIX defenders roaming unblocked in close proximity to him, the first two of them only three or four yards past the line of scrimmage. He finds a seam, and just flat-out runs right past everybody of them for the TD. There's no substitute for speed.
Here is a link to the video Hopefully there will be video of the 90-yard TD run that QB DT McDowell had last night, one of the best runs I've ever seen, even though it might make Buccaneer apoplectic to watch it.

Wow, #22 and #71 appear to be surprised by his speed as well, #22 kinda made a half-hearted dive at him and #71 just watched him run by. It looked like he was at full speed before he even got to the hole, very impressive.

SkyDog, I just want to reaffirm for you that in fact, the term "Stalker" is not always a bad thing.
You can always watch them, just to make sure they're ok. You can quietly observe them, just to learn about them. You can clean their windows, so that you can see through them better at night. . . The word really gets a bad rap. A stalker could be that persons best friend that they didn't even know about! |

(nice run)
I let the video run in the background for a while (I did some other things while it was loading), and I noticed a very strange pattern to the cheering at the end of the clip. Partially hypnotic.

DT'S run is now online. Here is the link. It is a long download. From snap to crossing the goal line, the play appears to have taken 23 seconds. Buc, you probably shouldn't watch this.

Wow. As great of a run as that was, I'm even more impressed by the blocking down the field. I counted at least three blocks in the last 30 yards of the run. Great hustle by that team.

How did he manage to keep changing direections and not get tackled.........saw some good blocks, but if I was coaching that defense I would be less than happy.

Dola--He MIGHT have also been barely touched at the beginning back at his own five, but again, the quick change of direction gave the kid no chance whatsoever to wrap him up. The kid with the best shot at him was probably #3, near our own 30-yard-line, but he had a bad angle and when DT cut back on him it left him with no chance to make the play.

They were actually playing it OK until the 1st cutback, the OL blocking wasn't that good, they got some penetration and appeared to have it bottled up. After that the downfield blocking was ok, but the QB pretty much did that on his own.
