OT - Checkerboard puzzle

The following is a feeble attempt to represent a portion of a checkerboard – imagine that I took a jigsaw and cut out this oddly-shaped piece. (Use the Xs and Os to replace red and black squares):

Code:
O OX X XOXOX XOXOXO XOXOX O OXO O X

The puzzle: With one cut, break the large segment above into two smaller segments, each of the exact same shape.

Does it have to be a straight cut?

No - it has to keep squares intact (no cutting them in half or anything) but it can be a jagged cut - along the same lines as what it would have taken to create the large piece in the first place.

Hmmm... still too much for my puny brain to solve. My head will explode if I ponder this further.

Probably better that you don't, then.

Let's hope this formats properly

Code:
O OO O XOOOO XXOXOO XXXXO X XXO X X

The line between Xs and Os is where I'd cut.

Argh! I was looking at it the wrong way. I just couldn't reconcile that part that is two blocks long and sticking out at the bottom- I couldn't find where to cut. Yet another great puzzle, Kickstand.

Hey... not that I don't appreciate your genius and all, but save some of the brainpower for FOF5 or TCY2 or Front Office Curling or whatever it is you're secretly and diabolically working on at the moment.

And on that note, whose turn is it this week to come over, change the baby's diapers and take him for a walk in the park?
