Pacquiao vs. Cotto - Nov. 14, 2009

Less than two weeks away! I've been following the 24/7 on these two. Good stuff.

I'll definitely be watching the replay next week on HBO. I'm a big fan of Pacman.

Pacman is fighting to be the very first boxer to ever win world titles in seven different weight divisions.

Your second statement contradicts the first.

I'm having a second child in 10 days. That money could come in handy in exchange for waiting a week to watch the fight.

Didn't watch this one, being that I figured it would end the way it did, but now I can't wait for a Pacman/Mayweather fight. Don't care what any of these guys/press say, this fight has gotta happen, too much money on the table.

Manny Dominated the entire fight. great great fight by him, and I can't wait for the Mayweather fight either.

Could a Pacman/Mayweather be the biggest fight of all time and enter the realms of the greatest fights ever? I am willing to bet that it gets that big. And it should be. Two of best fighters of all time, PfP or otherwise.

Pacman is incredible. He just goes and goes and goes. He took a few nice shots last night and none of them seemed to phase him. I think Mayweather will have his hands full if they can line this fight up.

So I should have asked this yesterday (or before), but is there any way to place bets on a fight like this w/o being in Vegas? Never done much gambling or online gambling, but in a case like this it was basically a given that Manny would win so I was thinking I could have made some easy money.

Obviously wont feel as confident if he fights Mayweather next, but would still like to know for future reference - is this possible? What sites do you guys use?

Pac is great, but I don't see him fighting his style vs Floyd. Floyd is too big (compared to Manny), too fast and too smart to let Manny get inside and go to work. I think Manny would have a decent fight vs him but would end up getting KO'd in the 7th or 8th.

I can see the fight going the distance. IMO Mayweather's defense and speed are just too good.

Yeah I dont see Mayweather knocking Pacman out. Mayweather will play his great defense and tire Pacman out but he wont have the power to get the knockout.

I don't watch much boxing, but ordered this fight yesterday. That Julio Cesar Chavez Jr fight was so boring. And this fight didn't disappoint. Can't wait to see Mayweather/Pacquiao. Props to Cotto for lasting all 12 rounds though.

And is it just me, or should Larry Merchant just go away? Again, I'm not huge into boxing so maybe he's what boxing fans want, but he seems to talk way too slow and say stupid things.

Yes, he needs to go away. I don't know a single boxing fan that thinks he's any good. I don't know why HBO still keeps him on.

Another classic by the Pacman. Once again, the perfect combination of speed and power, absolutely amazing to watch. So much class he made Cotto survive the 10th and the 11th (fight had to be stopped in the 9th or so IMO), to let him arrive in the last round. What a champion!

Really, there's nothing left. Just bring Mayweather, promote and sell the fight in every corner of the world, and then he can be the new President of the Philippines!

Pacquiao vs. Mayweather. Book it, please.

Mayweather is probably the only person in the world right now who can defeat Pacquiao. Even then, my faith is still strong in The Destroyer.

That said, Pacquiao's next fight would most likely be his last. Nothing would be better than to see him leave the sport on top and cement himself as a legitimate contender to GOAT.

I have never even given a second thought to ordering a boxing PPV, but I would be hard pressed to not order Mayweather/Pacquiao. If they can't get this done, then promoters aren't trying hard enough.
