Yang scores on a double play out in the top of the second to give Boston a 1-0 lead. Hartford ties it up in the next inning however thanks to a Dionisio Couarde RBI single that makes the score 1-1.
A Prebble solo home run and 2 more RBIs on another single from Couarde puts Hartford up 4-1 in the 4th. That remains the score until the top of the 7th when Boston jumps back in the lead on the backs of a 2-run pinch hit home run from Sergio Serrano and a 2-run homer from Heredia and the Settlers lead 5-4. Two solo home runs from Weston and Heredia in the 9th put the game away for Boston. Boston 7, Hartford 5 Hartford leads the series 2 games to 1. |

Boston gets a RBI single from Heredia in the first to take the early lead. In the third, Hartford gets the run back on a Wild pitch that scores Fyfe from third and we're tied up 1-1.
Both starting pitchers do great, Mireles gives up just the 1 run on 4 hits in 8 innings, while Lemieux lasts 9 innings, giving up 8 hits but just 1 hit as well. Entering the bottom of the 9th, tied 1-1 Hartford comes up to bat. Like some horror flick, Boston fans just get this bad feeling that they shouldn't take a shower because some scary Harpooner is going to stab them with a knife.. yet once again Hensley comes in to hold the game at a tie for the Settlers. Hensley was so automatic in the regular season but he has done his best Mitch Williams impression so far this FOOL Classic. Lead off hitter Brian Prebble starts off with a walk, but then Hensley forces Nunez to fly out to the right fielder. Tex Jones hits a one out single and then the Pinch hitter Sherwood Kelley is intentionally walked to load the bases. Up comes Pancho Rodriguez with just 1 out and the bases loaded... You know what comes next.... .. right? .... wrong.. Rodriguez grounds out to the third baseman who throws it home to force out the runner.. second out of the inning. Up to the plate steps Vinnie Fyfe... ok now it happens... GRAND SLAM HOME RUN.. Fyfe walks off the field and the Harpooner fans go estatic in the stands. Hartford is just one game away from back to back championships! Hartford 5, Boston 1 Hartford leads the series 4 games to 1. |

Boston scores first, a wild pitch brings home Yang in the second followed by Moreno who scores on a ground ball out by Matsumoto and the Settlers lead 2-0. Boston has to win this game to stay alive in the Classic.
Hartford gets 1 back in the 3rd on a Tex Jones RBI single, but Boston retakes a 2-run lead with a Yang Solo home run in the 4th as the Settlers lead 3-1. The top of the 7th ends up being a watershed inning for Boston as Hartford scores 6 runs on 5 hits, capping the inning on a Prebble 3-run home run that travelled 434 feet. Hartford goes up 7-3 and threatens to put the game away. Boston refuses to give up however as Weston hits a RBI double in the 7th and Serrano knocks two home with a RBI double in the 8th and Boston now trails 7-6. That remains the score entering the bottom of the 9th. Raul Polanco comes in to try to save the game for Hartford. Holding Boston here would result in another championship for Hartford. Heredia leads off the inning with a single however, but then Yang grounds out for the first out of the inning. Heredia makes it to second on the put out however. Jed Thompson then delivers, a line drive over the second baseman scores Heredia and Boston ties up the game 7-7! Edwards follows by hitting into a double play to end the inning however and we're headed to extra innings. In the 10th, Hartford gets a single but not much else. Boston goes down 1-2-3 and we head to the 11th. Mike Hensley comes in to pitch the top of the 11th, and the short-memory Boston fans boo him as he takes the field. Which Hensley will we see here? The Hensley that was dominant in the regular season or the Frankenstein that has been pitching in the Classic? Munoz flys out to start the inning with an out, but then Angel Baca hits a one out single and Kui reaches base on an error by the pitcher himself. Fyfe doesn't hit any game ending heroics this time, instead he pops out to the first baseman for the second out of the inning. Albert Nunez steps up to the plate next. The first pitch he sees he hits hard to left field. .. it has the distance and it is gone! A 3-run home run and Hartford takes the lead 10-7! Medine comes in to pitch for Boston and forces Couarde to ground out to end the inning, but not before Hartford sticks a dagger through the Boston fans hearts... The Boston fans are very unforgiving to a championship goat, and this might be one that Hensley has to wear for a very long time. In the bottom of the 11th, Jose Rodriguez comes in to pitch for Hartford. He forces Weston to fly out, Serrea strikes out and Heredia grounds out to the first baseman. That will do it. Hensley loses his third game of the FOOL Classic as he goes 0-3 in 5 games with a 20.25 ERA. He gives up 11 hits, 3 walks, 3 Home RUns and 12 Runs in 4 innings pitched this FOOL Classic. Hartford 10, Boston 7 (11 innings) The Hartford Harpooners are the 2034 FOOL Champions!! |

The new file is up. The FTP server is having some issues, so if you have problems downloading it, try to manually download via HTTP. I have support looking at the server to resolve the issues with it.
We will take tomorrow off, next exports due Thursday morning for the Amateur Draft. Some big announcements to come tonight/tomorrow for FOOL! |

I don't do alot of trash talk. This was truly concern. As i have players with raises coming that I have no idea what I'm going to do.

EDIT : Wrong teach quote here. Its the other message to me I meant to quote.
I have to get every inch of of this I can. Plus I have a very bad habit of giving players NTC to get them cheaper. So my elite guys can't be traded anyway.
