FYI, I took the "not allowed near a school" to be in reference to drug-free school zones, given what we saw a bit later.

Can a child molester ever be called "funny"?

Stevew says no.

I took my wife to see this last Friday and she loved it. She mentioned going to see it again which is nuts because we're not movie goers.

I doubt this is the correct interpretation since he follows the "not allowed near a school" statement with "or Chuck-E-Cheese".

I dunno, though...I found it funny. Zach Galifianakis' schtick is being quirky and doing things that make the audience uncomfortable. I think this line was more a case of that then trying to create a plotline of Alan being a pedophile.

As for Flasch's comment about the R rating and that picture...I'd agree if the pic was real. I'm 99.9% sure that a prop was involved, however, so I can see why they got away with it.

I heard Bradley Cooper say during a radio interview that they used a prop. He also said Galifianakis was very uncomfortable posing for the photo and personally lobbied the director to have it removed.

even so, with a prop, if its so indistinguishable that we cant tell if it's a prop or not, than they might as well have called it 'real' and therefore my anger sets in with Todd Phillips.

Everyone here needs to youtube some of Galafinakis(sp?) stand up. He, along with Louis CK, are my favorite comedians right now.

What's wrong with a pic of a dude getting blown in Vegas? It's rated R, no?

I remembering first seeing one of his standups about 7 years ago. He was sitting there playing a piano, a few notes at a time and speaking veryyyyy slowlyyyyyy. Not sure if he still uses that style. If not, any idea which tour or whatever that was?

Dr. Ken Jeong said on Adam Carolla's podcast that he wasn't allowed to be erect during the scene where he jumped out of the trunk, or it'd get NC-17.

And he implied that the blow job picture was Zach's junk inside prosthetic junk.

Yeah but then the lady took off her clothes and jumped in a pool and asked him if he was ready for his birthday present. I hate having those type of sexual references in movies that I take my kids to...

Why are you taking your kids to a movie that's rated R?

I'm not, I don't have any kids. It was a joke after a discussion in the Movie thread.

R is not "Picture of Blowjob" onscreen.

I'm pretty sure he did a "Comedy Central Presents..." a while back. I saw something on Netflix that was more recent where for about 1/3 of his act he was ripping on the audience. It was great.

If you like Galifinakis, watch Out Cold. Most underrated comedy of the past 15 years.

Loved this movie. Did anyone figure out why Phil was in the hospital? Supposedly the answer is in the final photographs.

Just saw it this weekend and it was freaking hi-larious! One of the funnier movies I've seen in a while.

Saw it tonight. Didn't hate it. Laughed a few times. Wouldn't put it anywhere near a favorite movies list.

If people were offended by the shit in this movie, I hope for their sake they never hang out with me.

Finally saw this. Very funny movie. Didn't quite live up to the hype, but that's what you get for watching a good movie six weeks after everyone else does.

Still no idea how Phil got hurt.
