Pumpsy. You of all people shouldn't question a person posting in a thread they have no interest in contributing to. And I don't mean that as meanly as it sounds.

Honestly can't remember my score. It was either 1190 or 1290, the 90 is the only part I remember. I want to say for sure it was 1290, but I ended up dropping out of school shortly after and 4 years later was a truck driver so it was probably 1190.

Georgia has always been an SAT state. ACT test takers are at an all time high in the last five years (20-25K a year) and are less than half of the number of SAT takers.

30 ACT (Perfect on the Math, sucked on the English), never took the SAT (1998)

If I took it today, i would probably be lucky to break 20. I feel like i get dumber every day.

Can't believe so many people who have taken the test multiple times not only remember their scores, but the exact breakdown of verbal/math every single time.

Wow . . . .

680 math
590 verbal
total: 1270

I think. There is chance it might have been 1280. I was lucky to score that high on the verbal, but I probably could have scored higher on the math on at least one of the three times I took it if I had studied for it more.

That was in '96. Best score of the 3 times my folks forced me to take the damn thing. Of course, this was the time I was the most hungover

Glad to know there is someone else out there like me. I did well on the ACT but took the SAT once and that score is going to my grave like Costanza.

There were schools I could have gotten a free ride from based on my ACT score who probably wouldn't have let me in based on my SAT score. Just something about the test and my personality that didn't mesh.

I made a 22 on the ACT, which is the lowest score in this thread. Either FOFC is full of geniuses or most people on here are bull shitting. I am voting for the latter.

I wouldn't quite say that it's BS either. It's kind of like the self-selected group who writes into the notes section of alumni magazines. People typically write about the fantastic successes they've achieved, they're not going to write into one of those things to announce that they got fired for surfing the web for midget porn or whatever...

My real answer is I never took the SAT's or ACT's. My parents separated and I moved around a lot starting in high school and ended missing just about all four years of high school as I got two years behind and then I just dropped out. It was tough at the time, but can't say I regret it now. I couldn't be happier with where my life is and I know all my experiences happened for a reason and helped make me into the person I am.

You never post letters like the one I sent in last month about my great job with Chicken Shack where I was fired for watching midget porn on breaks. 1050 (dont remember the breakdown) as a 7th grader as part of some Duke University TIP program our school participated in.
1560 as a senior in 1996 (800 verbal 760 math)

Took once, my HS guidance counselor tried to get me to take it again swearing I could get a perfect score....
I just remember thinking why?
BTW for degree of difficulty, I took it the morning after a state playoff game that went into like 5 OTs. We got home after 3AM and the test site was an hour away the next AM....I also broke my foot in the game and took the test with one shoe off

LOL I only wish that was all a joke.

I remember the TIP program. I did that, too, and took the SAT in 7th grade. And if you got nationally recognized- which was like 1000- so a lot of us did, you had to pay airfare and accommodations to be "recognized" out there. So we decided that was kindof a racket and not worth it.

Missed you by 1 year then. stumbled into trojan hall in 1997. And although a lot of people i knew in the program were rather bitter about it, based on your comments, i'd say also say it was a great opportunity.

1220...580 in one, 640 in the other. I can't really recall which was higher.

The first time I took it, I scored 1160 or so. I was so disappointed, I took it again. I really felt I was 1200 material, I guess.=)
