RIP David Eddings

As a teenager I always checked his books out from the library to never read them. As an adult, I bought them all and read them.

Another great fantasy author moves on to their next big adventure.

My sister, my father and I often at Christmas(the only time we are at home at same time) read the same fantasy novels..at a blistering pace. Read the Belgariad series and Mallorean series one year. Sad to see him go.

His greatest achievement as a writer..and anyone who read both those series will attest to this..was managing to sell the same series twice. I swear that both those series had the same story.

Not as bad as the 'Wheel of time'..we swore never again after the 'wheel of time'.

Thats really sad - always loved his books, he really brought the characters in them to life.

(but yeah all his series's were the same story with slightly different worlds - still great reads though )

wow 77 years old, didn't realize he was that old. Enjoyed his Belgariad books, but haven't read any of his stuff for years. Guess its time to drag them out and read them again.
