You guys make it increasingly harder for me to put a name associated with the film into the spreadsheet.

..and speaking of the spreadsheet.. If you guys are interested, I set it up so that we could use google spreadsheet's "forms" functionality to tally the vote. People would go to a link (actually, we could put it inline to the voting thread) and enter their vote. It won't be 100% fool-proof, but you wouldn't really be able to stuff the ballot box. I don't think we really need to worry about that with this group anyway.

Yeah, if I left Paris Hilton out of my last description, no one would know what the hell I was talking about.

I was referring to ntndeacon, actually.

And I definitely think descriptions are good, I'm just trying to keep the text int he spreadsheet minimal so that it doesn't take up 8 pages.

Some people just put the actor's name, many put no name.. I don't blame anyone, because if they just saw the names of some of these people they wouldn't know what the heck scene it was even when it was their selection. (myself included)

No worries, I'm just trying to keep the thread alive. As I was looking at the spreadsheet earlier today I realized that there HAS to be more than names for the voters to look at -- some of them just aren't clear at all.

I would recommend everyone start putting together a post with all of their clips and descriptions for the voting thread (I still need to as well).

11.11 Best Serial Killer - Chucky, Child's Play

This draft has a had lot of different deaths involving a lot of different people. However, nobody has tapped into the lighter side of gruesome killings. Just watch this clip and try not to laugh:

Written and directed by a convicted child molester.

(Not to put down your entry, I just despise that man)

yeah I know the story behind the guy who directed it. But when you're not sitting there brooding over that the entire time then you'll find it to be a very real and touching film.

I can understand why someone would be upset by the idea that a convicted child molester wrote/directed a movie that was widely released, especially when it was funded by Disney.

Here's the form for voting. However, DeToxRox, you should probably create a separate voting thread, because some people don't even look at this one. You can probably view source and copy this form, but if not, I can send you the code to put it into a voting thread.

I've held it back all draft - it was bound to come out at some point.

I'm not even criticizing DeTox really, I'm just hoping we learn some things from this draft.

Hah.. I don't think he intended for it to work that way. I'm thinking it's supposed to make you sign into google, but he has it tied to idledreams.net somehow.

I know, it just hit a nerve because we're all frustrated too, and I know a lot of thought went into my picks at least, so saying "worst draft ever" rubbed me wrong.

No biggie.

Understood. I tried to wait until the heat of the draft was over to say anything because saying it mid-draft would just have made it worse.

No (very few) rules turns a draft into a Mount Rushmore thread

Without time limits, the person you are waiting on so you can pick will always be "busy all weekend" (not you stevew, you were great)

Embedding videos is an enigma i will never understand

I am grateful all the work the drafters put in despite the lack of buzz. I very much enjoyed remembering/viewing those clips, good job guys

Yeah, i think we got a lot of them.

Misfit Toys Edition-
Drama-Dicaprio gets popped walking out of the Elevator-Departed(almost went with this for 1.2)

ActionDragon vs OHara-Enter the Dragon

Melee-Billy Batts gets beat, shot, stuffed in the trunk, then they eat lasagna-then he gets shot and stabbed some more-Goodfellas

Gunshot-Denzel gets capped by the Russians-Training Day

Best Death in a Comedic movie-Tie-Either the "dead gay sons" in or them making one of the Heathers drink drano-Heathers

Best Death in a Horror Movie-not a horror guy myself, can't think of any. Something from the Fly would be fucking disgusting though

Best Explosion Death [TV or Movie]-MacGuyver and his Nam buddy try to defuse a bomb, Nam buddy dies.

Ah, forgot about Ripley. Good one.

Gunshot death-how did this one not get used.

or the ending Pacino-DeNiro faceoff.

Even the Bank Robbery in Dark Knight was top notch as well.

Did anyone take "Jack" (DiCaprio) dying in Titanic? That could have fit well in either best death in a dramatic, or most heroic death.

I think these are things we knew ahead of time, but DeTox wanted to do something different. I would actually say that the time dragged on because of people not picking during the day on weekdays moreso than the weekends being a problem. The weekend are typically slow.

And for people that want ot look at it, the spreadsheet is at The FOFC TV & Movie Death Draft -- some of the selections may not be obvious, unfortunately. I jus tput the name of the person that died and the movie. Sometimes I didn't know the name of the person. If the first post is up to date, you may want to cross reference with that.
