I'd rather see Pacquiao/Margarito but I don't think Manny will stay up in weight class.

I think he's going to be comfortable at 140. A lot of guys want Manny now... specifically, Juan Manuel Marquez looking for a redeeming 3rd fight, and Hatton in Wembley.

Manny vs Floyd is without question the biggest fight Boxing has on it's hands right now. Should be a lot of fun if it happens.

I saw the Manny-De La Hoya fight (thanks YouTube! It's probably already gone). I thought Manny looked extremely impressive. I know people have been saying the De la Hoya looked old, and he did, but Manny was Manny in that fight. He didn't lose a step, which is pretty amazing since he went up two weight classes, on top of having gone up a few weight classes since he started fighting.
I think he'd do extremely well at 140. |

I want to preface this by saying Manny is awesome and my favorite fighter to watch.
The one thing I noticed was that Manny was regularly getting quite winded in the fight (after the 2nd and 5th, I believe) and was seriously heaving for breath in the corner. Not coincidentally, the 3rd and 6th were probably his weakest rounds as he was saving up energy. That strategy worked fine against De La Hoya, who couldn't throw a punch, but could present problems for him against the better fighters of the weight class. I would love to see him keep it up against those heavier fighters. Manny is easily worth the PPV money.

We'll see if Mayweather follows through with this or just wants his name in the papers. It'd be a fight I'd really love to see, even though I think Floyd wins it. That would really solidify one of these guys as a great, hope it happens.
Manny vs. Hatton would be a much more exciting fight though, although wouldn't have near the pull here. I'm almost pulling for that one to happen. Margarito is a bad idea, and I think Manny's people know that..I wouldn't hold my breathe on that one. That's one where he has little to gain, and is a huge risk. Be interesting to see what happens. |

I think if he offers him 4 years @ $20 M per, he can land him.
