I think it's easiest just to blame the Packers defense for the entire mess. That may not be fair. The Packers running game has been much worse than last year. It means less control of the clock and a defense on the field more often.

As for why the running game has been bad may bring up some debate. Grant has clearly not been as good. Not sure if that is the line or him. I also don't underestimate the fact that Favre was a bigger threat deep and perhaps forced safeties to respect his arm a little more.
