Michigan knocks off Illinois 27-10. Illinois scored on the first drive on a long Juice run, but that was it. Brandon Minor had 3 TD, 2 rushing and 1 receiving and Mesko kicks 2 FG's in the win.

This will be a tough game.

Did bignej really drop out? I just want to be sure that I don't need to try to schedule time with anybody for my date with OSU.

We put the hammer down on the Ducks (35-12, I believe) in a huge homefield Rivalry Game win. We had about 9 recruits in the house for the big win. It's actually sad how the AI handles the Oregon offense. Basically, they run shotgun QB draws and options all day...pretty much no threat at all. Anyhow, we are creeping back up the Pac 10 standings!

Although I'm sure all of this drama looks like it started with me, I promise this was not my intention. I thought I went out of my way to keep this from becomming the big blow up it wound up turning into. Bignej eventually dropped on his own.

Yes, it does. At least we got 3 big time recruits this week to sign with us, although I'm disappointed we lost a California based FS to Penn State. Not sure how they snuck that one away from us. The 3 big recruits we got: - Casey Bailey. 6'4 212 4 star athlete with A- speed and A Accleration. Also good at catching. - Maurice Jones. 4 Star CB who is 6'2 176 with A- speed and good coverage abilities. - Kyle Thompson. 5 star DE who is 1st in the nation at the position. Another CA kid. 6'6 235 and has all of the tools to be a great pass rusher. Anyway, recruiting is done for this week. |

We finally figured out how to win, beating Navy. They keep it very competitive in the first half, but we managed to step up and put it away in the second half.
A bye week before a showdown with Indiana. |

Well, #2 Clemson is no longer undefeated, as Georgia Tech took care of Clemson with a come from behind 19-16 win. I think we played a pretty even game, and when that happens, the home team will usually win. This one will keep me up for a while

good game Karlifornia. I am stunned that I won that one.
My offense did about what I expected, I got a couple nice runs but the option was almost completely ineffective against the speed of Clemson's D-line. Every time I passed there was a defender chasing me down or in my QB's face. I got extrodinarly lucky with one throw on the run (with a DE right on my ass) that hit a streaking HB in stride with no safety help behind him for a 70 yard TD pass... other than that one play for a TD I had to claw for every yard for 4 other FGs. The defense... I dunno where that effort came from, holding the Tigers to 3-12 on 3rd downs and only 16 points. I remain convinced that Rivalry Games and home field advantage(especially in rivaly games) play a big part in things like this. Georgia Tech 19 #2 Clemson 16 That makes me 4-2 in conference play and 6-2 overall, officially bowl eligible after last season's disaster finish without a bowl game. Miami and North Carolina both remain ahead of me in the ACC Coastal division. Both of them beat me head to head, so I have no delusions about winning the division, but if I can beat hated rival UGA in a few weeks a 10 win regular season is now possible. |

Penn State visited Purdue this evening, and played extremely sloppy football. Committing TEN penalties, most of which either resulted in first downs for the defense or negated first downs for the offense, and turned the ball over twice. PSU still won 33-15, and it would have been 33-9 if it weren't for a fumble returned for a TD by Purdue with 30 seconds left in the game. Hold on to the ball!

Pumpus Maximus was signing on as I signed off, and he was the last one to have to get his game in.

Indiana takes out frustrations from the Wisconsin debacle on the Iowa Hawkeyes, as we beat them 45-7 in front of their home crowd. Our defense played great, taking the ball away four times, and holding them to one flukey long TD by a TE who broke a tackle and went all the way. Nice rebound from the Wisconsin game, boys.

Got totally molested by the Buckeyes. It wasn't really their speed that killed us. It was the way they break tackles. They're a very difficult team to stop. Frankly, the game would've turned out even worse for me, but my true freshman punter pinned Ohio State deep a couple of times. Ah, wlel. We only dropped from #22 to #25 with the loss, and we host Purdue next. Not too shabby.
