You know if there's any dance clubs on Dickson?

I'm bored and feel like clubbin'.

haha no I stay away from there. I know of a few bars there that I've only been to to hear some of my friends play. I'm not much of a "clubber" sorry. I juggle, fly kites, and teach band.

Okay thanks.

Hmm, looks like JRs is a club. Wish I knew the standard dress code, but I'll see what I can piece together with what I have here and go kick it there... Maybe spit some game, all that jazz.

JRs is one I've been too. I don't think you need to worry much about dress code. Very casual from what I recall.

Well, that was a short-lived prospect, heh.

It started off, I'm walking towards Dickson when this truck rolls up and this guy asks, "Hey, can I borrow a dollar?" looking at me with "come here and fuck me" eyes.

I'm thinking to myself ...oh fuck. It's gonna be one of -those- nights.

So I tell him nawh and keep on walking.

Truck goes in reverse and the guy's got his head out the passenger side window, asking, "Can we give you a ride?" and he's looking -directly- at my crotch.

"Nawh, I'm cool", I answered, inwardly grimacing because yep, it definitely -is- gonna be one of those nights.

He looks at me all disappointed, but he and his buddy drive off.

Walk down Dickson, find out JR's, which is now the UArk Ballroom or something like that, is closed for the holiday weekend.

Great.

I keep on walking. George's is playing some shitty country band, Froggy's is playing an even worse local band. Willy D's has the usual piano bar going, but everybody there looks old and braindead.

So I say fuck it and head to the gas station for cloves. Usual third shift guy is there and we exchange greetings. A couple of his friends are there, another guy and some girl with multicolored hair and a dog.

I order my smokes and the dog starts humping my leg.

Okay, shit's now going from bad to worse.

Girl apologizes and I just laugh it off. She pauses and adds, "I like your hat."

"Thanks."

Light up a smoke on the walk back. Still old and dead in Willy D's. People are streaming out of George's, which apparently closed up early for the night. Lot of sausage and what few girls are around are clearly accompanied.

Except for the girl who was walking by herself and stormed into the bar that has the martini glass on its sign, the one whose name I can never remember. She looked pissed off, so I kept on walking.

And by that point I was like fuck it... I'll just write the night off, head back to the apartment... maybe watch a movie or update a dynasty.

So yeah, oh well.

Dude, you totally missed out on the chance to use the line, "So...did you know pets and their owners tend to share moods?"
