I can't connect my PS3 via ethernet cable
Keeps giving me a Cannot establish server connection error.
It worked once and it was in the middle of the long assed updating process so I could setup a Playstation Network account, when it crapped out and hasn't worked since. Any ideas?

Do you have a router? Reset it and your cable modem.

It's through the ethernet jack in the wall... which means the modem is somewhere in a place I don't know where. The joy of university connections. I'll try contacting the grad assistant in charge of the apartments. Thanks.

Try going through the automatic network detection process again, and make sure it's set to get your IP address automatically. If you have a static IP in there and it changed when your campus rebooted things, that might be what's causing the problem. |
