Fantasy Football Advice: Week 6
I own the Seattle "defense" and need to replace them. Washington and Miami are the two available defenses I'm targeting in one league I'm in. Which defense would you choose?
Washington's Next 3 -St. Louis -Cleveland -@Detroit Projected rest of season: 86 points Miami's Next 3 -@Houston -Baltimore -Buffalo Projected rest of season: 100 points Washington has a very easy schedule over the next three weeks but Miami is projected to be better over the rest of the season.

I'd grab Washington for the time being and re-evaluate after a couple of weeks.
I've got Campbell against the Rams or McNabb on the road in SanFran...without Westbrook. Obviously the Skins are favorites to trounce the Rams but are they going to use Portis to do it or will Campbell have a good/great game? Without Westbrook I would like to think McNabb and company are going to throw the ball at least 40 times...which could lead to a big day...or a really bad day. |

I'd go with Washington TFN ... but you might want to apply a large grain of salt to any advice from me given my suckitude so far this fantasy season.

I picked up Washington since I like their next three games. I'll have to reevaluate before week 9. I'll take pretty much anything over Seattle at this point.

Same as last week. League settings: 1 point per 20 yards receiving/rushing (fractional scoring), 6 points for all touchdowns, .5 points per reception and -2 points for fumbles lost.
I plan on starting Reggie Bush (vs. Oakland) so I can start one of the following three running backs. Joseph Addai (@Baltimore) Matt Forte (@Atlanta) Steve Slaton (Miami) - If it matters, my opponent is starting Matt Schaub. Who do I start along with Reggie Bush? |

I'd go with Slaton. Addai is an intriguing pick but I'm wary of the Baltimore defense.

Do you think Tim Hightower is worth trying to drop Selvin Young for?

I think the answer depends on the other RBs you have on your roster.

Standard Yahoo! scoring.
I need to pick 3WR's out of this group: Houshamazilly Calvin Johnson Robert Meachem vs Oak Torry Holt vs Wash Randle El vs StL TJ and Calvin are locks, but who should fill that last spot. I'm leaning toward Meachem, but looking for a second (or third) opinion. |

In that case I think dropping Selvin Young for Tim Hightower is an acceptable risk, especially if Ryan Torain is still sitting on the waiver wire in your league. I think that Torain will be the featured back in Denver when he finally makes his debut provided that Michael Pittman doesn't claim the job first. If Shanahan wanted Young as the #1 runner, I think it would have already happened.

Torain is still there... I'll try to claim Hightower then.

Which flex RB would you start this week? Michael Pittman or Justin Fargas. I'm leaning towards Pittman since he's pretty much Shanahan's only guy this week. Fargas is nice but I'm still worried about McFadden stealing carries.

I think with Young out, Pittman will get a lot more work, and every goal-line carry.

Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer will not start Sunday against the New York Jets because of his inflamed right elbow.
Ryan Fitzpatrick, who started Sept. 28 in a 20-12 loss to the Cleveland Browns, will be the starter again. Palmer might be available for backup duty, but that won't be determined until Sunday morning.

I think Westbrook is out now too. And Eddie Royal is probable.

I was one of the many Fantasy Players that drafted Tom Brady so needless to say my QB situation has been god awful and the crutch this season. We have a 6 pt TD scoring system, and I just traded for Delhomme, which leaves me with this option for Week 6:
Gus Frerrote vs. Det Jake Delhomme vs. TB The reason I am debating is because Frerrote is going up against Detroit which I am still unsure if they even field a defense. But will it be the AP show and Gus will just hand it off the entire time? My other problem, not as big though, is Shiancoe at Tight End (vs. Det) or Olsen at TE (vs. Atl)?

I'd say go with Frerotte against Detroit. I think they'll give it to AP a lot but the Detroit secondary is awful so I think Frerotte will have at least a decent day.

Normal touchdown and yardage league, with bonuses for longer TD's.
Any thoughts on Hines Ward for Vincent Jackson & Owen Daniels? I'm thinking I'm going to turn it down, but Jackson has as many points as Ward in our league and Daniels would be a spot-starter. The only other TE on my roster is John Carlson. Help me out here. |
