Nice win for the Longhorns. Next week, they get a break against Division 1-AA Arkansas.

I'm glad it is not Arkansas State again. After beating A&M last week at Kyle Field, they laid a 83-10 whuppin' on Texas Southern.

Yes, and I say this in all seriousness, Arkansas State is clearly the best team in the state of Arkansas.

Heh. You know, though, sitting on the mountain watching the game is kind of a traditional thing. Usually the cops chase the folks sitting up there off a few times over the course of the game, but I didn't see them do it once on Saturday. And in fact, as my sister and I were leaving the stadium, I said that before I die, I want to watch a game from the mountain...

Sad as it sounds, I saw some definite improvement from the Miners versus the week before against Buffalo. Both lines looked better as we were actually able to run the ball, and do a decent job against the rush, and we got a little more pressure against the QB. Of course, two of the major problems from week 1 were still there...our corners suck donkey balls, and our WRs are young and inexperienced and aside from Kris Adams, dropped way too many balls.

I'm looking forward to the game in Austin next year, fellas...
