What word am I thinking of...
I'm writing up an e-mail for work and I've had a brainfreeze. The sentence is:
"Because the replication had not been configured correctly, the data contained within the database was ...." And that's where I hit my snag. I want to say the data in the database is out-dated, but I know there is a technical term for this that is right on the tip of my tongue. What word would ya'll use here?

If the data is good, I believe the technical term is gnarly.

All correct answers (especially JPhillips' in this particular case), but maybe I'm going crazy or something but none of these look like the word I'm sorta maybe thinking of... RE-something. I don't know. Maybe I shouldn't have dropped so much acid on the way in to work this morning?

Inaccessible in it's intended form.
Erroneous. Useless. Damaged. Tainted. Besmirched. And insted of "is" I'd use "has been." Last edited by DrAFTjunkie : 08-27-2008 at 11:40 PM. |

I was thinking antiquated, but maybe it was something like reticulated splines.

The replication or synchronization would become degraded. Not sure what the data becomes when the replication is out of sync...

I know the email has been sent by now, but I would probably either say the data is invalid or the data needs to be resynced.

My first words were incongruent and obsolete...but since I see them in the thread already...
