R.I.P. LeRoi Moore

LeRoi Moore, the saxophonist in Dave Matthews Band, passed away Tuesday afternoon, from complications following an ATV accident in June. He was 46.

I don't really have any words except, thank you for helping broaden my tastes on music. My favorite band will not be the same without you.

Never been a fan, but the one sound I can remember besides the vocalist's crappy voice is that distinctive sax sound. Sad to see this one go--he made the band's music much more receptive to me (and I never knew his name until now).

that's a bummer. Was a fan until they switched producers (after 'Before These Crowded Streets').

One thing that makes me snicker is any footage I have of them live, or live CDs, always have at least 5 bad notes on sax. A squeak here, a squawk there.

I still liked him. He was a good player and a better part of that particular band.
