Yep and nowadays, that's becoming more important. I would admit that yellow is also easy on the eyes but I have a mental aversion to that color. |

I never realized the polls were screwed up with Habitue until just now. Doesn't matter, I still like it for everything else. To me, its FOFC now.

I actually like the colour scheme of Development the best, but cannot use it with the narrow thread boxes.
I am an old schhol person, so it's sideline green for me.

Looks like Flush, Spud and Rage are going to be gone...poor little spuddies. Can't we start a campaign to Save the Spuds or something? We could make t-shirts, start an online movement...anyone with me???

I guess someone (or me) could delve back into changing the scheme to make the colors a bit nicer... remember, I made all these bullshit skins like 5 years ago when I was a teenager. |

The biggest thing that needs to change is that we need to have one parent style (the basic vbulletin would be my suggestion), and have the others come off of that one. Otherwise, any template edits or hacks have to be implemented for every single style, rather than just off of the parent one.

Checking all these out made me realize at some point during an upgrade or some such, there a lot of missing icons to most of these..

New functionality was added in 3.6.0, I know. Multi-quote, for example, just wasn't there in the past, so you didn't create buttons for it, naturally.

I use yellow, agreed that the sideline green is awful. I don't know how anyone could use it honestly.

I suggest we get Simms or someone of that ilk on a mission to clean up slash make better, complete skins... I had good ideas but not many solid products there.
I don't even necessarily know what you mean by 'parent skin', I've been out of the game for so long. |

i use Day At The Office while at work and Sideline Green when at home, since i've been in the community from the beginning it doesn't feel like FOFC (or whatever we were called in the beginning) without the green.

to be honest, with us changing locations now woulda been a great time to change the name from FOFC to something more reflective of our status as a premier text-sim forum. not for nothing, there's a lot of people here who don't even play FOF either currently or ever. Front Office Football Central doesn't really begin to explain what this community has evolved to. sucks that no one thought to rename it. nothing against Jim, but a community as huge as this still essentially based on a game that comes out every 3 or so years, a game from a tiny one man operation like Solecismic, its kinda silly. something as bland as "Text Sim Central" woulda been worlds better.

Maybe it's just me but "Day at the Office" doesn't really seem all that "under-cover" for surfing at work. I think the default skin is more innocuous.

Yeah, I don't get it either. A forum is a forum. If people see you on a forum at work, they're either gonna think you're doing research for something at work, or screwing around. It still looks like a forum, no matter how you colour it. |

I can't believe how many people use the yellow. I use the vbulletin at home and day at the office at work.

I've always liked the Sideline green. It doesn't stick out like a sore thumb like the yellow does.

I can't use anything other than yellow, it doesn't look like FOFC without it for me.

I think I used to use Yellow, then switched to the FOFC vBulletin when polls stopped working (the bar graphics were missing or screwed up and looked all funky) around the 3.6.0 upgrade, and I've never looked back since.

I agree with the sentiment but I think they string you up as a witch if you say that around here SI

I have to say I'm a bit disappointed at the maturity level required to reach page 2 without a single response of..."Fore".

Still having the issue of Sideline Green staying the dominate skin no matter what choices I make either thru the User Control Panel, or the dropdown selection at the bottom of each page.
Any progress on this? I would love to see the forum with another couple skins I like a lot more. Signing out and clearing cookies do not help as well, help would be appreciated!

Bump. It's look like the vbulletin upgrade is imminent, and we *really* need to scrap the existing skin structure and rebuild some of these from scratch. I'll add a new one or two as well, but we will lose some of the custom ones, at least for a while. Vote if you haven't (although the ones we're keeping seem pretty clear at this point...)

I'm an avowed Day at the Office user, but I'm jumping ship to OSX. At least for a while. I wanna see more, but for now this is looking good.
