Oh hai, I can haz New Zealand?

The wife & I just returned yesterday from our trip to New Zealand, where we had a terrific time. I highly recommend visiting the country to anyone. I'm only a little jet-lagged now.

Anyway, some pictures:

The Lantern Festival we stumbled upon in Auckland's Albert Park:

The seaside in the east coast town of Napier, on the North Island:

On the road from Napier to Wellington (they do really winding roads in New Zealand):

Kaitoke Regional Park, the location for Rivendell in the LOTR movies:

Wellington:

Whale-Watching on the South Island:

The campervan we rented on the South Island:

Lake Wanaka:

Franz Josef Glacier:

Arthur's Pass:

SHEEP!

The rest of the photos are here: http://picasaweb.google.com/kamilewi...ealandTrip2008

So, what did I miss?

Here's the Morom Tabernackle. Here's the dog that tried to bite me. Here's the deed; if this was a all legible you'd see it.

Absolutely beautiful. If I could figure out a way to move there with my family I would strongly consider it.

Thanks for sharing the pics!

dola,

i'm looking at your web album and whoever took those has a good photographic eye. I really liked the Auckland Museum pic with the stairs. Good stuff.

What a beautiful country! Hey, you are very lucky to have experienced that. Looks like the weather could not have been better. I would definately enjoy that trek.
