Is SW: Galactic Battlegrounds any good?
I know a few posters here have this game ....
Iam wondering is it a good game or is it just AOK in a new wardrobe . I was wondering about whether I should pick the game up or save up for CC Generals .....Any comments on strenghts and weaknesses of the game are welcomed . thanks

I really enjoy the game. Unfortunately, you can't read what I just said, so I guess it doesn't matter.

Chemical,
It's a decent game. The computer AI isn't very smart, so it's pretty easy to beat. I've played Clone Campaigns as well and it wasn't much of an improvement. A very limited game, but is a fun time waster at first. Now I play Empire Earth when I'm in the mood for AOE. |

So I probably wont get those sweeping battles where I will win or lose by the skin of my teeth right ?

Dola-Seeing those Storm troopers en masse though makes me really want to buy the game and destroy the gungans .
I can see it now TIE Bombers bombing their cities and Storm Troopers marching in unison towards the last Gungan Stronghold ....sends shivers in my spine .

Chemical,
LOL. The storm troopers are pretty weak units in the game so you won't use them much, lol. Also in multiplay, the game lags pretty bad when populations get higher. I'd skip the game and move to something like Empire Earth or the latest installment of AOE. |

It uses the AoEII engine. This means that it is basically Age of Empires II with jedi knights in place of Teutonic Knights and wookies instead of Viking Raiders.
If you have AoEII, wait for SWGB to hit the 4.99 price.

There was nothing more depressing than seeing 10 stormtroopers in pixelated graphics form a semi circle to fight 10 rebels in another semi-circle. Just a dumb game. At least AOK was believable enough to enjoy it.
