The experiment 'sounds' impressive but it isn't really to be honest - its a bog-standard Artificial Life program which you can download from most AI websites because its one of the expected building blocks for learning about neural nets and such like (yes its got a few extras in it but its nothing exciting from what they've indicated).

This isn't really intelligence, when I create a neural net for a vacuum cleaner to tour my house and come back 3 hours later and nothings been done but there's a new high score on my 360 then I'll be excited .... annoyed but excited
