Strange Bugs

Last night I almost stepped on the strangest looking bug I've ever seen. I honestly had no idea what it was, other than that it must have been some kind of centipede. It was about 4 inches long, about two inches wide (including legs), and I herded it up in a container, counted the pairs of legs, put in a google search, and turns out it was this fellow:

Scutigera coleoptrata, House Centipede

After reading the wiki article, these guys actually sound pretty cool. They are like the Predators of the insect world, hunting prey in the dark, all the while living in your home and staying out of sight. Turns out they are pretty darn rare in my part of the world too. If it didn't look so damn freaky I might have let it be, but my girlfriend would have seriously freaked the fuck out if she saw this running around the kitchen.

The technical term for those bugs around here is "million legs things".

I should have asked the lovely lady who came by my truck a bit ago asking for "gas money" if she had any of these. She said I could "pump it myself" so I am guessing that she has had several guys help her out. Maybe I will ask on the C.B. if anyone found some bugs.

I think that is the same bug that I found one day.

I was getting dressed to ride my bike home from work and, after I put on my bike shorts, I saw this unusual lump on my leg under the shorts. It took me a couple of milliseconds to register that it was something else and not a part of me. When I pulled my shorts down, I thought the thing was a spider and nearly ripped the shorts off while smacking at my leg and screaming like a girl.

Good times.

Oh crap, I am dying laughing here. A million small penis jokes ran through my mind when I read that.
