I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL makes a change to the calling timeout rules next season. I don't think they'll completely remove the coach's ability to call a timeout, but they might do something. While the rule is in its current state, though, I'm very amused that it was Mike Shanahan who took advantage of it against the Raiders. That's epic.
