Do these people really think that there are enough fans of some text football sim that you can build a community around it? That seems like an absurd notion... how many no-life pathetic stat geeks are there out there, after all? Certainly not enought to merit their own message board.

TPF.Net is a community site - even without having seen the game yet, Mark (and myself) want to really give it a chance to have as much add-on support as possible. The idea is to have that centralized add-on community site that OOTP never really had (there's a lot of great 3rd party stuff for OOTP, and several really terrific sites, but not any 1 site that has everything).

The game, as I understand, is still a little ways off, and only conjecture can tell anyone if it will be any good, but it won't be bad because there isn't any organized 3rd party support for it.

BTW, the site is very much in it's infancy - Mark's been playing around with it all week. Be patient...and check back - we hope this is going to be a great resource.

I think this is a VERY good idea. I know I have had a thousand headaches trying to find 3rd party OOTP stuff by site jumping all over the place. Thanks for thinking ahead.
