Thumbs up WSOP dates & events list released

You can see the full list here. Highlights:

* The whole thing runs from June 1-July 17. The Main Event goes July 6-17.
* 55 events in total; some start at noon, some at 5 PM.
* More non-Hold'em events, and a few mixed limit/NL events.

It's too early to decide whether I want to join the party (don't bet on it, unless you get great odds), but I know some of you went last year and some may make it this year. I'm sure this will help in your planning.

I'm guessing this might be the target event for a re-convening of the FOFC BALLERZ contingent.

I think I'm planning to lock up a suite at the Rio for this year, centered on one or two events I plan to play in. Right now, my thinking is this is the target event - right before the big HORSE event, and leading up to the final events.

Anyone else interesting in hitting around this spot?

Yes, pending about 10 variables that will play out in the next two months.

I am considering making two trips out this year. I would like to play in the 6 handed event on June 7th. So I make a trip out there for that event as well.

There is some possibility that we relocate the whole family out there for the month of June. If so, we'll have a house and room for a crasher or two.

I know I will be out there the week of the main event. One of my co-workers wants to celebrate her birthday there.

I'll be out there from June 18th to the 21st for the HP Convention at Mandalay Bay. I could probably find a way to extend the trip a few extra days.

Dola,

If anyone wants to room crash between the 18th and 21st, HP is footing the bill for the room, so no skin off my back.

It's a possibility I may be entering the event quiksand posted above. I'll let everyone know if it happens.

So, the $1500 NLHE event mentioned above by QS is next weekend. I'm going to be out in Vegas for that. Is anyone else?

If so, it's BALLERZ time, YO!

I'm playing today in event #27, and probably a couple more events over the next few weeks.

Well... that was lots of fun.

After raising and missing three flops, I had faded about a third of my chips by 50 minutes deep.

When I finally raise and hit an ace holding AQ, I got called down by a guy who flopped two pair with A7, and he didn't raise until I was pot committed. I don't even know how many players were in the event, but I'm quickly among those out...still within the first level. *sigh*

That's my plan. I just arrived about an hour ago. My first hour here was spent running the FOFC-BBCF sim. As long as I don't lose the $1500 I brought before then, I'll be in that tourney.

So, QS, we gonna meet up to play the mechanical horse racing game?
