OT: Crash Test Dummies
Does anyone have the "Jingle All the Way" Chistmas Album from the Crash Test Dummies?
From the samples I can get at Amazon it sounds ... interesting. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=music I am curious what someone with the full album thinks.

Sure don't; sorry.
I'd like to take this opportunity to recognize their masterpiece, "God Shuffled His Feet". This is one of the 5-10 best albums of the 90s. Other than the overrated "Mmmm" song, this album is surprisingly underrated. Unfortunately, none of their other music(ie "A Worm's Life, etc) has engaged me in quite the same way. |

I would have to put in a vote for The Ghosts That Haunt Me as being their best album. From the Superman Song to Androgynous, it is one of the few albums...sorry cd's I can listen multiple times in a row.

I like "The Ghosts that Haunt Me" best as well, but I dont have the X-mas CD, the Crash Test Dude CD, nor the one put out recently. The CTD version of Androgynous kicks the 'mats version to bits.

Crash Test Dummies are a very underrated band. I have to agree with the accessment that God Shuffled His Feet is one of the best albums of the 90's. However, I was under the impression that the Christmas CD was coming out for 2003. I might have look for it, but with CTD's track record, I would buy it without hesitation.

I missed this thread the first time around.
I agree that "God Shuffled His Feet" is one of the best albums out there. It is one of the few albums I own where every song is a good one. The music and Brad Roberts vocals just go together perfectly. I don't know why, but that's the only CTD album I have. I just listened to some samples on the BestBuy website, and think I'll try and pickup "The Ghosts That Haunt Me". Last edited by Craptacular : 06-05-2003 at 11:47 PM. |
