Stanley Cup- Like we care now but....

As the time ticked down on my Senators last week so did any interest I had in watching the Stanley Cup. I will probably watch a bit and most probably the clinch game but it will not be the same for me.

That being said who is going to win the Cup?

I am cheering for the Ducks. I had teams I wanted to see make it there, but ultimately it has come down to 'anyone but the Devils' for me.

New Jersey is having one of the great sports years that no one even cares about. I don't know if two teams can do so well and create this level of apathy.

I guess it's what happens when you stick teams with no fan bases in an arena the middle of nowhere.

While I agree that the Mighty Ducks winning would be a nice underdog story...there is something about Disney winning the cup that just seems...wrong.

The Angels winning the World Series...the Ducks winning the cup...seems like Mickey has sold his soul to Satan...

A team known as the 'Mighty Ducks' can't win! And they are purple! Argh!

Go Jersey (in both sports )

Well, the Stars knocked out my Oilers (my #1 team). Minnesota knocked the Avs (my #2 team). The Ducks then beat the Stars and the Wild. Throw in the fact that the Ducks are a great underdog story and the fact that I hate the Devils and well, I have to root for the Ducks...

Well, there's always next year. The preseason starts in about two weeks, right?

Who's Mickey?

Hey, Satan, check is in the mail.

Oh, but you're going to have let me do a little less sweating than tonight. The team looked awful against a strong and disciplined Devils' squad.

Mickey didn't sell his soul. Mickey sold the Angels, and the same fate awaits the Ducks in the near future.

As a longtime Devils fan, I hope the Ducks get waxed. Game 1 was a beautiful thing, and I hope it gets even better from there.
