uh yeah, I just played a full 18 w/ a friend on North Wiz with this. I got 1600 pang normally, he got 1200(he also bought water ball/double pang, so we both benefitted from the 5 pang bonus a ton). So I got 3200 he got 2400 with the double, tomorrow that would be 6400 and 4800! |

Wow. A 25.6 yard putt on 18 on NorthWiz will net me somewhere around 2100 pang
50 for length, 1000 because the birdie gave me a record, Doubled!

Wow, I hadn't realized that the game had been down pretty much all week. It's been a while since I played (thanks, Worldwide Soccer Manager!). I'm REALLY bored today, so I'll jump back in.

I played 5 or 6 games today and went from 30,000 pang to 60,000.
The one round I hit a long eagle chip in and a HIO. 10,116 pang after it being quadrupled. |

Wow, North Wiz front 9 only, with about 18 holes left on my pang mastery item, I scored my first ever albatross, a 226 yard shot on the first par 5 for about 1000 pang. I ended the 9 holes with 1586 regular pang and about 350 bonus pang from the water ball, quadrupled for over 8000 pang in 9 holes

Well, double pang weekend is over. I went from 30,000 pang to 170,000. I'd have at least 200,000 but I buy spin mastery potions a lot.
Still nothing to spend it on though. My Air Lance II's are completed upgraded, as is my character. I have Dolfini as my caddy, but might buy TitanBoo now since he gives +2 to power and control. |

I was able to pick up about 50,000 pang this weekend, advanced from Beginner D to Beginner B(a RL buddy of mine and one of his friends started playing, I played 3 rounds of 18 in vs mode against both of them and another 3 rounds against one of them, great for the XP advancement). I've maxxed out my Air Lance II clubs, and am almost to the level now that I can start buying the pang items for my character. Beginner A I can get +3 controlslot pants, and I think I can get a couple more things while I'm a Junior to boost me up. TitanBoo would be awesome for a caddie, you don't see many of them around! |

think you need to be amateur something to get TitanBoo bu I agree, I'd like to get him.
It's just too bad that this double pang weekend came this week as I just got back into WSM and wanted to play it instead of albatross this weekend. Also, weather was just too nice to play during the day, and I couldn't justify more inside time than the couple of hours I dedicated to watching the world cup final. I ended up playing only 2 full length tourneys and 2 more 9 hole ones... FM

Yeah, I didn't realize you needed to be a certain level for TitanBoo. I just checked and it's Senior C. I'm only at Junior C right now.

Dola,
Speaking of caddies, it's rumored that Alba18 will get Brie in about a month. She gives +2 to control and accuracy. 82,000 pang she will cost. I don't really think that's worth it though since it's only a +1 control upgrade over Papel, and I think accuracy is the most worthless stat on the game. |

The e-mail for season two was fairly disappointing looking. a new UI and a new caddie or something? They need to release new characters and courses if they want to call it a major release. Did anyone get the impression that they're doing that?

I believe it's confirmed we get Silvia Cannon as a course, and I saw a video with Shining Sand for the Season 2 Trailer. We might also get Arin as a new character, and Brie as the new caddie. Plus stuff like the hairdyes, and maybe rank specific servers.

I'm hoping to get back to it in August, but too much work right now.
I'm too afraid to "play a little bit", because I know I'll end up playing a ton again and that would mess up my life completely at the moment. |

What's with all the hack talk I've been reading about over on the forums there?
As for the new courses, I've played Silvia Cannon, Shining Sand, and West Wiz on the Japan client. Silvia is very tough, tougher than Wiz Wiz. Shining Sand is somewhat difficult, but not bad. Big greens with tough breaks. West Wiz has lots of overdrive if you hit the right spots. An easy course with the feel of Wiz Wiz. Japan also has added Ice Cannon, played it yesterday, another overdrive course with tough hole placements. Greens are very slick with lots of roll, meaning less club and allow roll to get near or in the cup. Ice formations have to be taken into consideration when placing your shot. A 2 star course or AA in our version. |

I played a couple of rounds just last week. In general, though, I'm just playing other games instead. There's nothing wrong at all with Albatross18. I've just been busy with other things.

Without having to read through this entire thread, can someone just sum up for me how this game compares to shot-online? I played the heck out of that until I realized you really couldn't advance very far without buying some pay items. Is ths game like that or is it a fun experience for free? I played a few holes of it yesterday and liked the game play (I found out about it via searching gamespot for reviews of Wii games: turns out Super Swing Golf for Wii is basically the same game as this). Just want to know if it is worth my time or not.
Thanks |

I'm still playing, never see an FOFC'er on there anymore. I'm up to Senior D, have around 25 hole in ones and 95 albatrosses.
There's been a lot of new stuff added and many events since this thread was last active. |

I still mess around once in awhile. I just finished a tourney on Ice Cannon at -9. Not bad I consider, for not playing in a looooooong time. I'm tuckerrocky whenever I'm on. |
