State High School Football Playoffs - How does it work in your state?

How does your state do its playoffs?

I was reminded about this subject because New Jersey doesn't crown a state champion for its larger groups in football, there are just state sectional champions and that's as high as it goes. So, there are 24 state sectional champions in football.

That's the only sport that stops at the sectional level. But, it made me wonder about other states and their systems.

In Wyoming they actually go from 1A to 5A and the top 8 teams make the playoffs in each division. But moving up doesn't take more than a few students to change it, because the enrollments are so small.

So..how does your state do it?

I found this after the fact, that answers my question. But it doesn't matter. People should talk about it anyway. The BCS talk has jumped the shark.
