Fox News: Feast or Famine

I swear, sometimes I love Fox News, and sometimes they turn into amateur night at the improv.

Earlier today, they were doing interviews with American college students who evacuated from Beirut aboard a chartered Norweigan freight vessel. One guy was interviewed and complained about the vessel being a freight ship and there was no bed and whatnot.

When he said this, I began rolling my eyes about this new generation of babied kids (I work with them, and I've noticed a distinct change) and said "that figures" to myself.

Then the Fox commentator points out to the audience that since the Department of State has issued a travel warning in going to Lebanon for a year tellign Americans not to go there because soemthing like this just might happen, that Mr. College Student might want to not complain about the fact that he didn;t have sheets and cookies.

I laughed out loud at that. Then the channel turned to other news items, so I flipped channels, and other news channels were interviewing the same guy who was making the same complaints over and over again. Headline News was all like, "Oh, that's so sad," and MSNBC has no commentary at all. Only Fox called him on it.

On the other hand, Fox called an navy man an army guy and promoted him to general in an interview last week, twice screwing up.

It really feels like feast or famine with these guys.
