Come on. I know things were a little different 25+ years ago, but even in the 70's, the media woulda had a field day with that! I can believe that was taped, but I can't believe it was aired.
Earl definitely was born at the right time. Had he come 25 years later, his managerial career would have lasted about 2 seconds. Maybe Earl is interested in the Alabama job? I think that's the direction they need to go.

I don't know if any of you ever read The Umpire Strikes Back by Ron Luciano, but there were some great confrontations between Luciano and Weaver. Weaver always took the game way too seriously for Luciano.
