'80s idols to reunite
Ugh I wish this was a story from the Onion. Why would anyone think this could be a good idea?
http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...4?cs=1&s=h&p=0 '80s idols to reunite for 'Coreys' Feldman, Haim ink dev't deal with RDF USA By DENISE MARTIN Former teen heartthrobs Corey Feldman and Corey Haim have teamed with RDF USA ("Wife Swap") on "The Coreys," a hybrid improv comedy that would center on fictional versions of themselves a la "Curb Your Enthusiasm." Show will be one of the first RDF produces Stateside outside the reality genre. Company does big business overseas in a range of genres including scripted drama, comedy and longform, and it's looking to expand its presence in the U.S. Last year, RDF produced sitcom pilot "The Weekend" for CBS. "The Coreys" picks up with Feldman living the comfortable suburban life with his wife Suzie and son, until circumstances bring his old pal Haim back into the picture. Episodes would follow Haim -- single and the total opposite of Feldman -- as he shakes life up for the Feldmans. RDF USA exec VP of current/development Greg Goldman said because Feldman and Haim have been friends on and off screen for several years, the chemistry between the two " just pops off the screen." RDF will begin pitching the project to broadcast and cable networks on Thursday. Goldman says he's counting on the "huge nostalgia factor" to result in compelling TV. "Everyone feels like we know the Coreys," Goldman said. "They are, for all intents and purposes, brothers. One moment they're having knock-out fights, and the next moments they're hugging as if nothing had happened." Feldman and Haim met on the set of "The Lost Boys" and appeared in several movies together, including "License to Drive," "Dream a Little Dream" and "Blown Away." |

Dude... if Mark Gastineu's ex-wife and daughter can get a reality TV show, anyone can. I stopped expecting TV to be creative right about the time Miami Vice was canceled.

ok, my mom came along too, but let's not be picky. i asked my date if i could kiss her and she said no, i think it was cuz my mom was cockblocking me. still, i was 9 and my date turned 11, that's gotta count for something. |

I love just about everything about the 80's, but even this sounds like a bad idea to me...

They can have Screetch as a guest star, and a cameo-appearance from the fat kid from Goonies.
