Thanks, so long as we hold onto Zamora and Wicks hopefully it'll be the same again next year

At the time you had 3 other experienced strikers and he wasn't really getting a look in (which was why you loaned him to us in the first place) .... after we bought him you let your best strikers go though from what I've heard.

If it makes you feel better every manager slips up occassionally, when we had Gareth Barry he never played a first team game and was played in Midfield.

I've been following them as well. I'm happy to see Brighton go up. My dad has followed them since he lived there when he was young and I've picked them up too. Way to go Brighton!!! Looks like the other team we watch, Crystal Palace, will be falling down to join them next year.

I used to live in Brighton, and I was there at Wembley the day Notts County beat them around in the playoff final to get into the premiership. Sad day.

So I'm happy that the Seagulls are back on their way to where they belong.

The Plymouth Argyles are very happy to see the promotion. See you next year.

What's this promotion and relegation deal? You mean they still do that?

(This from a fan of Arsenal, who have not been relegated from the top flight since before World War I)

Still hoping for a UEFA Cup ticket!

How long's it's existence, though? 1970's?

Anyway, my team get relegated every second season, get promoted every second too. Up and down like a hooker's....hmmm, a yoyo. Much more exciting!

Sorry mate..

ROVERS ARE GOING DOWN! THE ROVERS ARE GOING DOWN!

Hopefully the MIGHTY U's of CAM-BER-IDGE will stay up one more time!

(looking at today's game where we got pounded 5-1 by leaders Millwall)

Er.. uhoh.

Offtopic, but since this is the highest soccer thread on the board, I figure it's better to rant here than create another thread....

Stupid frigging away goals rule! Valencia and Arsenal tied on aggregate, but Valencia goes through because one of their goals was at Highbury? Goals is goals, dammit!

DOWN WITH THE AWAY GOALS RULE!!!

Ayup. I started as a fan of the U's via CM, but now I hit their website at LEAST once a day (cambridgeunited.com).. and I love em because they're like the underdog every time, but they have history.. did you know they were the first winner ever in a promotional playoff game at Wemberly?

David.

GO ON YOU MIGHTY U'S!

I got to spend three wonderful months living in Cambridge, so of course when I got the CM demo I started with the U's. I have a feeling that I will now be checking that website everyday
Since getting the game, I actually haven't even played with another team.

Thumbs up

I am also happy because my rampaging Cottagers are back in the top flight after such a long time, all thanks to the mastery of Al-Fayed and Jean Tigana. Fulham should do well next year, at least mid-table I'm hoping for, anyway.

COME ON YOU WHITES.

Damn, and the Plymouth Argyles were promoted just to play Brighton.

I guess we will have to be promoted again next year to catch up.

Next season I'm hoping we just consolidate and (hopefully) get planning permission for the new stadium.

It'll be a real achievement just to remain in the First Division initially (limited budget, tiny rented ground) .... but where there's Zamora there's hope

(Shame Mr. Taylor let Wicks go though, I still think he's a promising youngster .... although his temperament could have been better)
